i have never never never saw a live performance at sydney opera before….
Hey if you’re gonna buy this dvd it’s good, but the sound on the first 2 songs (Jailbreak & Bad Reputation) is a bit dodgy as you can hear on this vid. Check out Cowboy Song on YT and you’ll see it’s better quality.
I can’t believe they haven’t fixed this for a better release. This version here is from the video version which had the same crap sound.
AWESOME PERFORMANCE THOUGH!!! I live in Sydney but alas, wasn’t born at the time…
an old hippie chick i knew back in the early nineties got me into them. Before the internet!! LOL
yeah axl rose was wearing a thin lizzy shirt during a performance of welcome to the jungle, that’s how i got into thin lizzy myself
This is one of the few bands that were capable of doing all the classic rock star poses and not look like complete wankers while doing ‘em. Lizzy, from the good old days when people stood on stage and played their instruments and the crowd watched, grooved and appreciated. Thanks, Great vid!!!
R.I.P. Phillip Lynott
Gary Moore is one of the best guitarists ever
i love drinking beer and yelling along to Lizzy, aint much better!
this vid says it all this was 30 years ago and ppl are still in2 it and watching this stuff! bet half the bands about now in 30 years you’ll be like…who? Lizzy Rock!
How many people were at this concert?
everyone check out “remember lizzy” a greek tribute band to Phil..
god, its good to hear someone say that, theres so much good music you gotta be a bit daring and look, cheers!
Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, Pearl Jam etc really make you appreciate music!! Keep these videos coming!
im 10 i went to a police concert i was youngest there
Hmm, this DVD looks good… Maybe I’ll buy it.
it probably won’t, thanks to guitar hero, the worst game ever made, but it gets the point across that classic rock is the best
Im 15 and i went to see them live id december, i was the youngest person there, its such a pity that most teens wont listen to older music, I listn to led zep, thin lizzy, deep purple, any decent rock, new or old, hopefully more teens will begin to too before rock dies out
Thats so awesome that younger people are getting into real rock-n-roll!!
irelands finest
quite, i mean since 2005 ive gotten into stuff like Lizzy, gary moore the eagles, blues traveler, ac dc lynyard skynard deep purple and all that other good stuff, i mean i still like my metal but ive realised there is some much better stuff out there than slayer and metallica etc etc
willthepink..now your talking..not much of the music now days is rock and roll.especially slipknot..although i like a few of there sons..it’s not rock and roll.
haha i used to think slipknot were rock till i got a thin lizzy album, my life changed for ever
I’m 43, and I want a Thin Lizzy t-shirt ….
i am 15 years old (i put my age up so i can watch anything) and i got into thin lizzy because axl rose was wearing one of their shirts, i think it was an act of god
